FAQ:

Question 1:

Can I connect panel to battery for charging directly without controller ?

Answer 1:

most power station is possible to do this. Because most of them have built-in MPPT, but the battery, Without the voltage regulation provided by the controller your chance of cooking the battery by overcharging is possible.

To charge a power station with a built-in controller, please do not connect the attached PWM controller.

Question 2:

Why the solar can not produce 220W power when chargingto power station?

Answer 2:

As you know the solar panels are affected by many factors such as the light intensity and the panel's angle put on the ground. 220W is tested in an ideal laboratory. However, the intensity of the light constantly changes. In addition, the angel of the light illuminating the solar panel also changes with the rotation of the sun. Please try test your solar panel under the full sunlight to see, and make sure there is no shadow cast on the panel.

Question 3:

Are this units waterproof? Can these solar panels be permanently instaled outside?

Answer 3:

Yes,lt is waterproof , BUT meant for temporary or emergency use only. Not designed for permanent installation or prolong weather exposure,DON'T leave them out at night or in bad weather.

Question 4:

What is best way to get 36v output from this panel?

Answer 4:

The general output is only around 18 V. In order to double that you’ll have to connect a second panel in series.you can use Y-adapters to run it parallel with another panel at 12v but you’ll want to get a 40A+ charge controller

Using without batteries is primarily providing power to the USB ports(PWM controller). If you want higher power generation efficiency, you can buy MPPT and use it.

Charge controllers reduce the wattages and amperage output as the batteries approach getting full
In an ideal laboratory,220 Watts at 18 Volts(The panel rated voltage) yields 12 Amps, where I=P/V.
